Liberal Media Scream: Scarborough charges Meadows ‘doesn’t care if you live or die’

So much for former House Republicans sticking together.

This week’s Liberal Media Scream features two of them, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, former Florida Rep. Joe Scarborough, and White House chief of staff and former North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows.

At issue was the obvious comment Sunday from Meadows that the administration is “not going to control” the coronavirus until a vaccine becomes available. To that, Scarborough spun it as America’s death warrant.

Scarborough on Monday’s Morning Joe:

“I’m able to take the advice of epidemiologists. I’ll take the advice of doctors, and they were telling us in March we were going to have a dark winter. That it was going to be worse, and he knows it, and he’s lying. He’s willing to let people die because that’s what Donald Trump wants him to say. Mark Meadows, who doesn’t care if you live or die from the pandemic because he just cares about following the president’s advice.”

Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our weekly pick: “Meadows was just observing the reality of how the pandemic likely won’t be contained until vaccines and therapeutics can be widely deployed. So that’s a pretty disgusting take from Scarborough, sinking to accusing Meadows of not caring if people die from the coronavirus, presumably because Scarborough has such contempt for President Trump he assumes the worst of all who work for him, even a former congressman with an excellent reputation.”

Rating: Five out of five screams.
