Obama legacy: $1 trillion in regs, 754,208,700 paperwork hours added

The Obama administration has greatly added to the regulatory burden on U.S. companies and citizens, approving rules that cost over $1 trillion and that add 754,208,700 hours of paperwork.

And there are still 31 days left in his administration.

The center-right American Action Forum totaled the costs since 2005.

It comes after the Competitive Enterprise Institute found that the administration has imposed more red tape than any other president in history.

AAF noted that the $1 trillion price tag equals all of Mexico’s GDP.

President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to cut regulations starting on his first day. He has even promised to kill two current regulations for every one he adds.
