A top Clinton campaign official has urged supporters to making monthly donations and volunteer in the former first lady’s effort to win the presidency.
The call from campaign manager Robby Mook apparently startled a crowd of 150 attending a $25-a-head fundraiser, according to the SaintPetersBlog.
It was part of his pitch to supporters to help in what is expected to be a well-funded and record-smashing $2.5 billion campaign.
Appearing at the top-rated Mise en Place wine restaurant in Tampa Monday, Mook also said that Clinton plans to end Super PACs.

Listing her agendas and quoting Mook, SPB wrote, “Fighting to reform campaign finance laws. ‘We’re going to end the Super PAC!’ he said excitedly, which sounded a bit weird, considering that Clinton has her own Super PAC, Priorities USA Action, that her camp certainly hopes can be as competitive as any that the Republicans like Scott Walker and Bush are using.”

Clinton has promised to remove “unaccountable money” from the political process if elected, but her campaign and the Clinton Foundation have come under fire for their fundraising.
The comments prompted the anti-Clinton operation America Rising to push back. “Hillary Clinton’s rhetoric on money in politics changes at such a dizzying pace that even her campaign supporters and donors are thoroughly confused. Her hypocrisy is now officially entering the theater of the absurd. No wonder folks at the Mook fundraiser were baffled by his comments,” said Jeff Bechdel, America Rising PAC communications director.
