Poll: Just 27% of Republicans think Donald Trump will be nominee

Donald Trump might have enough money to run for president but he lacks the type of Republican support he needs to win the GOP nomination.

According to a new poll, just 27 percent of Republicans feel he can win the nomination, with a majority, 69 percent calling it unlikely.

Rasmussen Reports said that the results were similar among all likely voters, with just 23 percent believing he has a chance and 72 percent calling a Trump nomination unlikely.

“This positions Trump near the bottom of the GOP field, which now totals a dozen serious candidates, when ranked by Republican voters based on the likelihood of gaining the nomination,” said Rasmussen.

However, conservatives and Republicans have a favorable view of Trump, even if they don’t think he’s presidential timber. Some 55 percent of conservatives and Republicans have a somewhat to very favorable opinion of the real estate and resort developer who jumped into the presidential race this week.
