Sorry guys, but the political women of Washington are ready to storm the gates, at least that’s the message in a selfie tweeted out today by House Minority Nancy Pelosi.
“If too much #girlpower can break the Internet, we might be in trouble. #progress4women #womensucceed,” Washington’s top female Democrat tweeted in the picture also featuring Hillary Clinton, Sens. Patty Murray of Washington, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, and Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro.

It came after she spoke at a powerhouse conference on women’s economic issues with Clinton hosted by the Center for American Progress and CAP President Neera Tanden, also in the selfie. Clinton concluded the event with a plea for greater feminist action to help women, and the economy.
“When we can turn an issue into a political movement that demands people be responsive during the election season, it carries over. So, these issues have to be in the lifeblood of this election and any election and the more that we can do that, harnessing six million or however many we can, bus tours, storming the gates, with Rosa leading the way, whatever it’s going to take, we have to make these issues part of every political debate,” she said.
