In an 11th hour bid to out-raise challenger Sen. Bernie Sanders, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is raising the specter of losing Iowa and New Hampshire — unless supporters cough up $3-$250.
“If we lose” is the subject line on her latest email, one of several from the Clinton campaign that have arrived over the past few days as the next Federal Election Commission fundraising reporting deadline ends tonight.

“I can’t say it any more clearly: If we lose Iowa or New Hampshire, it’s going to be a lot harder to win the nomination, and we’re going to be in a weaker position when it comes time to keep a Republican out of the White House.
“Before midnight’s deadline, chip in $1 to help win the crucial early primaries,” she added.
Oddly, when viewers click the “Donate $1” button, the minimum shown is $3.
Clinton has reason to be concerned. While easily beating Sanders in national polls, the early Iowa and New Hampshire polls are close, and Clinton was embarrassed by then Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards in the 2008 Iowa caucus, coming in third.
She never recovered.
