For Obama, it’s ‘Seasons Greetings,’ not ‘Merry Christmas,’ from DNC

Christmas” is MIA at the DNC.

In an email to supporters, the Democratic National Committee is polling on the best seasonal card to send the first family, Christians who celebrate Christmas and even just lit the National Christmas Tree. While the card covers feature Christmasy images, none actually use the word.

“Which holiday card should we send to the Obamas?” asks the survey.

The first card shows a Christmas tree ornament.

“Happy Holidays from the Democrats,” it reads.

The second shows a Christmas present.

“Seasons Greetings from Democratic Supporters Across the Country,” it reads.

The third shows a collage of Christmas trees, candy canes, and ornaments.

“Sending You Warm Holiday Wishes,” it reads.

Meanwhile, on the Republican National Committee website, there isn’t any prominent mention of Christmas or the holidays. However, in their sales pitch for colorful socks featuring former President George H.W. Bush’s signature, the RNC promises: “Items ordered before December 21 can be expected to be delivered before Christmas Day.”
