The Republican Party has been accused of a lot of things, but having a “death wish” has to be the most headline grabbing.
Appropriately, it was made by the mainstream media, this time NBC’s Chuck Todd, host of Meet the Press, our winner for this week’s Mainstream Media Scream.
It came when he plugged an upcoming segment on the April 17 Meet the Press:
“When we come back: The Republican Party has 31 governorships, the most Senators since 2005 and the most members of the House since the Hoover presidency. So why does it seem as though the party has a death wish when it comes to trying to win the White House?”
Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains the pick: “Yes, both parties face challenges with their presidential candidates, yet Todd picked out Republicans as having a ‘death wish’ even though Democrats are picking from a far-left socialist and a candidate few trust who is under FBI investigation.”

Rating: Three out of five screams.
