RNC note to FBI: Thank you.

A quickie Trafalgar Group/Convention of States Action poll following Monday’s FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago winter home boosted voter enthusiasm among Republicans and independents, most of whom believe the search was politically motivated to punish the 45th president.
motivate.pngData pushed out by Trafalgar today said:

  • 76.7% of Republican voters believe Trump’s political enemies are behind the FBI raid on Trump’s private home. 14.6% believe it was the impartial justice system at work, and 8.7% are not sure.

  • 53.9% of independent voters believe Trump’s political enemies are behind the FBI raid on Trump’s private home. 35.3% believe it was the impartial justice system at work, and 10.8% are not sure.

  • 83.3% of Republican voters say the FBI raid on Trump has increased their motivation to vote in the 2022 election.

  • 71.7% of independent voters say the FBI raid on Trump has increased their motivation to vote in the 2022 election.

In a statement accompanying the analysis, Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action, said, “This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn’t even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November.”
