Someone guileless drone from the White House—who “asked not to be named so he could speak freely argued Democrats still have a chance to hold the Senate”—wants the world to think of Democratic candidates distancing themselves from the president as cowards.
And to drive the point home, the unnamed aide uses the word so famously applied to the prime minister of Israel by another (or, perhaps, the same) White House official.
As Jim Acosta of CNN reports:
Running away from the president is never smart,” said one top Democratic strategist who has worked with both the White House and Senate candidates this midterm cycle. “You look like chicken s—,” the strategist added on condition of anonymity.
You probably have to give it some weight. Consider the source. This is not just some mere “Democratic strategist.” It is a “top Democratic strategist.”
