In ‘Big Love-Fest,’ Obama Announces New Chief of Staff

President Barack Obama announced his new chief of staff, Denis McDonough, today at the White House. Washington Post reporter David Nakamura called the event a “big love-fest.”

Obama thanked McDonough for helping to show him around as a young senator from Illinois. “I have been countin on Denis for nearly a decade,” said Obama. “Since I first came to Washington, when [McDonough] helped set up my Senate office along with Pete Rouse, you know, he was able to show me where the restrooms were, how you passed a bill.”
