The White House repeatedly dinged Republicans for their raucous response to President Joe Biden‘s State of the Union address.

“What you saw last night is a president that was very clear on how he sees the next two years,” she said Wednesday on Air Force One en route to Wisconsin. “It was a president that talked about the progress that he’s made in the last two years, and we talked about the split screen, right? Jean-Pierre contended Gov. Sarah Sanders (R-AK) ‘s official rebuttal underscored “the choice” between “political fighting over fake conspiracies” and “delivering for the American people.” In her speech, Sanders described Democrats’ embrace of liberal policies as “not normal.”
“What is not normal is some politicians’ obsession over some of our most vulnerable kids, or taking away women’s rights to make their own healthcare decisions, or even teaching American history,” Jean-Pierre said.
Jean-Pierre praised Biden for calling out Republicans who support reauthorizing programs such as Social Security and Medicare. “Most Americans simply want to live their lives in freedom and peace, but we are under attack in a left-wing culture war we didn’t start and never wanted to fight,” she said from Arkansas. “Every day, we are told that we must partake in their rituals, salute their flags, and worship their false idols … all while big government colludes with Big Tech to strip away the most American thing there is — your freedom of speech.”
