President Joe Biden is convening senior White House and administrative officials for a briefing as California wildfires rage in the Golden State.
The briefing is set to commence at the White House at approximately 4:45 p.m. Eastern.

The conference comes as at least five people have died in the wildfires.
The disaster has struck Los Angeles particularly hard, with more than 2,000 structures burned and at least 130,000 residents under evacuation orders.
