President Donald Trump is signing a measure on Thursday morning preventing California from phasing out the sale of most gas-powered vehicles by 2035, a White House official confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
The president is set to sign the resolution reversing California’s policy around 11 a.m. at the White House.

The executive action comes after both chambers of Congress gave the green light to such a measure, which seeks to repeal a Biden-era policy from the Environmental Protection Agency that granted California a waiver to mandate that 80% of new cars sold be electric vehicles by 2035.
