Trump waves off criticism from Marjorie Taylor Greene: ‘She’s lost her way’

President Donald Trump responded incredulously on Monday when pressed on recent criticism from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a usually stalwart ally.

Greene has come out swinging against the president over the past months on issues ranging from healthcare to the economy and even foreign policy.

On Monday, as Trump was preparing to host Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa at the White House, Greene tweeted that she “would really like to see nonstop meetings at the [White House] on domestic policy not foreign policy and foreign country’s (sic) leaders.”

“Start by hauling in the health insurance company’s executives and let’s start formulating our Republican plan to save America from Obamacare and [Affordable Care Act] tax credits that have skyrocketed the cost of health insurance,” Greene added.

Trump fielded a question regarding Greene’s critiques during an Oval Office swearing-in ceremony for Ambassador to India Sergio Gor on Monday evening. The event was well-attended by senior administration officials and other Make America Great Again loyalists, including U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk, and others.

“I don’t know what happened to Marjorie. She’s a nice woman, but I don’t know what happened. She’s lost her way, I think,” Trump told reporters before claiming that “when you’re president, you really sort of have to watch over the world.”

IS TRUMP’S PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH-MAXXING ACTUALLY EFFECTIVE?

“So when somebody like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who’s now catering to the other side, I don’t know what — she’s got some kind of an act going, but I’m surprised at it,” he continued. “But when somebody like Marjorie goes over and starts making statements like that, it shows she doesn’t know.”
