President Donald Trump is signing his first National Defense Authorization Act of his second term. He is set to sign the document at 6 p.m.
The NDAA passed fairly uncontroversially, breezing through the Senate in a 77-20 vote and through the House with a 312-112 vote.
TRUMP TO SIGN NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT ON THURSDAY
As the Washington Examiner previously reported, notable provisions in the 3,086-page defense spending bill include a 3.8% pay raise for the military and over $900 billion in defense spending, among other initiatives.
This year’s NDAA also codifies several of Trump’s executive orders issued in 2025, including the “Golden Dome” missile defense program and the prohibition of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs within the Department of War.
