When Trump first entered office in 2017, he tasked Sean Spicer with the job that Karoline Leavitt, the youngest press secretary in history, is set to vacate at the end of the month. Spicer lasted some six months behind the briefing room podium, followed by an infamous 10-day period in which Anthony Scaramucci took over as communications director.
