Syria called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s unannounced Wednesday visit to the Golan Heights, an annexed portion of Syrian land controlled by Israel, a “dangerous violation” of its sovereignty in a sharp rebuke of the Jewish state.
In a written statement, Damascus condemned Netanyahu’s “illegal” visit to southern Syria and expressed concern over Israel’s de facto control of the territory.
