Ukraine peace talks headed to ‘next steps,’ Zelensky says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that negotiations with the United States to end the Russia-Ukraine war are moving on to the “next steps” following a flurry of meetings between the two sides in Florida this week.

U.S. and Ukrainian delegations held peace talks in Miami throughout the week after Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. While the peace talks with Putin appeared to yield little progress, Zelensky expressed optimism on Saturday after a two-hour phone call with Witkoff and Kushner following the Miami negotiations.
