Separate but equal makes a comeback

Racist: Believing students of color can compete with white children on standardized testing.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a favorite freshman congressman of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, shared on Twitter a cartoon that would make readers of Stormfront giggle with glee. The New York Democrat captioned the image of a human making animals of different species compete against a monkey to climb a tree, “Our education system and the problem with standardized testing.” While plenty have noted that our public school system has failed students of color, creating racial gaps in test scores, few are quite so woke to believe that the students themselves have fundamental deficiencies. It’s one thing, and a necessary one, to reform our education system so less privileged children get a fairer shot. It’s entirely another, and one with a deeply problematic past, to claim that white children are of a different species rendering their performance superior to other races.

Woke: Separate but equal dorms for different races.

Over a half-century ago, civil rights leaders put their lives on the line to reject the monstrosity that was segregation. Now, the woke overlords at the University of Nevada, Reno have embraced “separate but equal dorms.” The taxpayer-funded university designated specific dorms where white students were not allowed. Various “living learning communities” also include designations for gay and transgender students. The school, after being called out by the Young America’s Foundation, 404-ed the links to the dorms, so no word on whether cis-straight folks are allowed in the dorm for gay and transgender people. But rest assured, if you don’t allow transgender women to compete against their cisgender counterparts in sports, they would surely brand you a bigot.
