WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Thirteen million dollars went toward renovation of the rarely visited Fort Jefferson, $25,000 to an arts program to inspire prisoners with dance and other creative pursuits, $60,000 to research law in Peru during the 18th century, $1,200 to Weight Watchers, and $25,000 to Homestead’s Art Spring to pay the art director’s salary for a few months.
