Biden apology for lumping all black people together is precisely why he’s been hiding during the 2020 campaign

It was only a matter of time before one of the people physically propping Joe Biden up would tell him that he needed to take back what he said about black American voters. And it came quickly.

In a series of tweets Thursday night, Biden said he wanted to “clarify” comments he had made earlier in the day and that “in no way did I mean to suggest the African American community is a monolith—not by identity, not on issues, not at all.” In fact, he said he had been a firsthand witness to “the diversity of thought, background, and sentiment within the African American community.”

You could almost hear his knees creaking as he bent down to plead for forgiveness.

Biden topped it off with the usual pledge about listening. “My commitment to you is this,” he said in a tweet. “I will always listen, I will never stop fighting for the African American community and I will never stop fighting for a more equitable future.”

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee had said earlier in the day that “unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

It wouldn’t be the biggest screwup in the world if it weren’t for the social justice mob, endlessly preoccupied with race, gender, and grievance, running the Democratic Party. But that’s the reality liberals are living in, so Biden would naturally have to apologize — excuse me, I mean, clarify.

But there is no clarifying what Biden meant because he meant it when he originally said it. It’s not like this is the first time.

Back in May, he said in one radio interview, “I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

This is how Biden talks when he’s exhumed from his cellar. He’s not trying to “clarify” anything. He’s simply wishing he’d never said it.
