Let’s start talking about ‘fetus equity’

Many on the Left have promoted the notion of equity in recent years. They have weaponized this word in an attempt to garner public support for social justice causes, as it conflates the two separate ideas of equal opportunity with equal rights.

But because this notion calls for equal starting points for everyone, fetuses are the ideal subjects of equity. As such, all fetuses should be guaranteed the equal starting point of the right to life, as opposed to being terminated in the womb.

Many proponents of abortion strive to ignore “fetus equity.” Instead of guaranteeing the right to live, such people believe it should be an arbitrary decision based on the whims of the female carrying the fetus. However, such logic runs against every perceived notion of equity. It counters all the claims that Democrats strive to make about alleged at-risk groups.

Fetus equity would ensure equal opportunities to live, eliminating disparities associated with infanticide and racially disparate abortion rates — improving outcomes for all fetuses. It is predicated on the application of the right to life, the protection of that right, and the guarantee of justice in a system that has been out of balance. On average, it would save over 600,000 lives every year. Fetus equity would prioritize quantifiable change while protecting the unalienable right to live.

Democrats have spent a considerable amount of time preventing fetus equity, considering fetuses to be subhuman. They have concocted the narrative that the miracle of human life is really just a strain on women. But this classification runs against every conceivable notion of equity that liberals have ever articulated. They don’t particularly care about human life. They just care about the lives they feel should be valued.

Fetus equity would be a remedy to their discriminatory outlook.
