Four people who could’ve stopped the White House jumper, guaranteeing we wouldn’t even be talking about this right now

As details regarding the White House fence-jumper come to light — including the fact that the intruder was stopped near the White House East Room by an off-duty Secret Service agent — questions regarding the competence of the agency tasked with protecting the president abound.

And although it’s a terribly serious topic, it has prompted at least a few people to reminiscence about popular Hollywood movies and fictional heroes tasked with keeping the president safe.

Basically, what we’re trying to say is that the following people on this list wouldn’t have allowed the jumper, Omar Gonzalez, 42, of Texas, to even get near the White House. We want to see the White House surrounded by people like:

“Olympus Has Fallen,” Gerard Butler:

“In the Line of Fire,” Clint Eastwood:

“24,” Kiefer Sutherland:

“Vantage Point,” Dennis Quaid:

Honorable mention — “White House Down,” Maggie Gyllenhaal (the least-loathsome character in that garbage heap of a movie):

Come on, people — we can make this happen!
