Racist: Criticizing “crony capitalism.”
This week, Maryland Del. Lily Qi explained that it was racist to call her proposed package of corporate subsidies “crony capitalism.” You see, that was obviously a veiled attack on her native country, China. We hope the lobbyists on K Street were all taking notes on how to defend handouts and special favors.
Woke: Racial tests for office.
Sens. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii and Tammy Duckworth of Illinois explained that if you’re white and you want their vote for confirmation, you had better become gay or start identifying by the opposite gender. Only “diversity” nominees would get their votes, they admitted. Refusing to consider candidates for a job because of their skin color used to be racist, and so we thank Hirono for showing us the new rules.
