Democratic politicians think they are better than you and your children, and they are willing to remind you of that at every opportunity.
Stacey Abrams, the sore loser of Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial election who is running once again this year, went to a school for a Black History Month event. With all the children unnecessarily forced to wear masks, Abrams went maskless for a photo-op and also took off her mask to speak. Abrams’s defense of her behavior was to say that she took the mask off for the photo under the condition that everyone else was wearing one.
You see, it’s important that the cameras see Abrams’s face. She’s a politician, and unlike the students or the random adults in the room, she is important. It also matters that the children could hear her speak, which is why she removed her mask. It’s not important for children to understand their classmates or their teachers, but they must hear Stacey Abrams clearly.
Abrams didn’t wear a mask because she thinks she is more important than the plebs who must abide by the rules. The same is true of Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who also went maskless for a photo-op with a room full of masked people. It’s also true for New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who have gone maskless in school visits while children are forced to wear masks, and for California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who went maskless at the NFC Championship Game despite a mask mandate in the city and even though children are forced to wear them at all hours during school.
Another successful Snow Boots on the Ground event in Owosso! Thank you to everyone who came out despite the frigid temperatures. (My selfie skills also seem to be improving so my team actually let me post this one!) pic.twitter.com/aH3jw3EWaF

Democrats have not followed their own mandates and dictates throughout the pandemic. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock traveled to Texas for Thanksgiving in 2020 just hours after telling residents not to travel. He still supports mandatory masking for children. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer flew to Florida while telling Michigan residents not to travel. Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser repeatedly violated her own COVID-19 and travel restrictions.
And, of course, who can forget when New York Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Carolyn Maloney went maskless at the Met Gala while the workers in the background of their lavish photos were forced to mask up. Masks and COVID-19 restrictions are for children and the commoners, not for our moral social justice leaders in the Democratic Party.
The help is masked while the rich guests mingle maskless. Of course. https://t.co/irmWjFMono

In the back you see all the “help” in masks while they strut around smiling with this on their butts. It’s quite the image. pic.twitter.com/0R3cOosntb

The masks and the COVID-19 restrictions are not for them, the elitists serving in the government who want to tell everyone else how to live their lives. They can go to parties or schools or fancy galas without a care in the world. The restrictions are for you and everyone else because brave Democrats have to protect you from yourself. They think they are smarter and more important and better than you, and they have been displaying that narcissistic attitude since the pandemic started two years ago.
