We call it the “Magic Marker” resistance because so much of the liberal furor these days is prepackaged fill-in-the-blank anger.
The “#STOP ______” sign protesting Trump’s Supreme Court pick was a perfect example. Sen. Jeff Merkley’s press release attacking Neil Gorsuch that didn’t even include Gorsuch’s name.
From American Bridge, the Democratic activist PAC, comes the below gem, in their research report: “Neil Gorsuch: Too Extreme for the Supreme Court.”

Ed Whalen of the Ethics and Public Policy Center noted: “That reference to ‘two 3rd Circuit colleagues’ might have clued you in. Speaking of concussions …”
