The last month has shown the tremendous hold the abortion lobby has over the Democratic Party. On the GOP side, there’s no analogous pro-life stranglehold. But something interesting has emerged in the 2016 presidential campaign: Every serious candidate is pro-life.
Today, the pro-lifers moved the ball a bit further. In the morning, the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life campaign organization, sent out an email with comments from every serious presidential candidate discussing a ban on aborting babies after they’ve been developing 20 weeks in utero.
This morning’s email said:
As you can see, 13 likely candidates, including Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, and Gov. Scott Walker, have announced their support for this popular measure.
Gov. Christie is the only exception.
Well, this afternoon, the SBA List sent out an update. Christie had endorsed the 20-week protections. You can see all the candidates’ comments here.
