At least the Daily Stormer is honest about its neo-Nazi intentions. American Greatness, the self-styled Trumpist journal and blog, lacks even this virtue.
Today, the organization published one of the most histrionic pieces of the past year — an embarrassing head-scratcher, worthy of laughter and little else.
Written by an anonymous coward, “Cuck Elegy” is an alt-right piece of literotica masquerading as a poem. In the interest of mercy, I’ll try and keep the excerpt of this as short as I can:
Submit to the modernist’s spirit of avarice
Defer now to the mocha-skinned Lazarus
Know this, you are more rich than him
If not in cash, then in your white skin
The worm is possessed by cool-kid perception
Considers himself a great exception
To all those evil, racist whites
Whose recalcitrance impedes his rights
To trample on their spirit more
To profit from the endless wars
And from the labor multiplied
And from the masses demoralized
Who still turn to the worm for guidance because
For America, he professes love
Not for her people (those, he hates)
They are but low-life reprobates
But for what nation she could be
If she increased her liberty
And turned her unscathed, generous face
Toward parasites that “earn their place”
And spread her ample, gentle thighs
For those who come and tribalize
And offered her abundant breast
To those who maybe pass a test
And even those who don’t
Translation: Capitalism requires whoring out your women, or your country, to the “mocha-skinned” and, thus, inherently anti-American foreigner. And this is bad because neoconservatism, or tainting racial purity, or something. (Funny how it always comes down to their inability to compete for women.)
And the fourth grade-level writing isn’t even the worst of it. Upon the article’s publication, the header image on social media featured Iraq veteran, civil liberties lawyer, and National Review senior writer David French.

American Greatness’ depraved obsession with smearing French goes back years. The site’s blogger, Julie Kelly, has repeatedly defamed French’s wife, Nancy, as having “screwed around with her preacher” in a consensual relationship. The reality is that Nancy, a writer in her own right and a vocal advocate for victims of sexual assault, was abused by said preacher when she was not yet a teenager.
The author of this piece is certainly racist to the bone, and probably proud of it. This all has to be rather embarrassing for Victor Davis Hanson, who publishes regularly on the site.
