Who: Andres Perez, board member for Picture the Homeless, a New York City non-profit group.
What: According to the New York Post, Perez recently gave a class to homeless people on how to break into and squat in vacant apartments. “You remove the chains and padlock, and then you go in,” he said.
Why it’s dim: This group has received $240,000 in government grants. They are using taxpayers’ money to make their community worse.
Cure: Cut off the group’s government gravy train, for starters.
