A Democratic candidate in New York denounced a letter to the editor written by one of his ardent supporters who requested information regarding his opponent’s dating history.
Aaron Woolf, the Democratic candidate for New York’s 21st Congressional District, tweeted Friday:
I denounce the letter in today’s @WDTnews. It is reprehensible and antithetic to what this campaign does or should represent.

In the letter, Flynn had requested Woolf’s opponent, Republican Elise Stefanik, disclose all of her personal relationships so that voters would know what she is “about as a person and candidate for congressional office.”
Woolf and Stefanik are vying for a seat vacated by Democratic Rep. Bill Owens’ retirement. The district is seen as a toss-up.
