Inevitably included in every single report out of the national media about the race riots raging throughout the country is that the vast majority of “protests” are “peaceful.”
Normal people must hear that and then turn on their local news — that’s the only place you’ll see it reported — to learn about a woman shot dead, allegedly for saying “All lives matter,” and feel woozy with cognitive dissonance.
That’s what happened in Indianapolis on July 5, according to the victim’s family, as reported by a local FOX affiliate.
Then there’s the guy in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, who’s facing charges after he allegedly slammed his car head-on into a motorcyclist on July 3, killing the driver. The suspect, Daniel Navarro, 27, reportedly told authorities he was “targeting a white person” and blamed President Trump and “white people” for the recent racial unrest.
That was also reported by a FOX affiliate.
Hmm, and what about all of the images of public and private property defaced and set ablaze amid the rioting? What about the countless smashed windows and looted shops?
Minnesota’s governor requested over $500 million in federal aid after more than 1,500 buildings were damaged in the state’s riots. (Trump rightfully rejected the request, given that the state’s Democratic governor and the mayor of Minneapolis, along with other Democratic leaders around the country, had all but encouraged the chaos.)
Atlanta has seen tens of millions of dollars in damages, not limited to restaurants, museums, and the CNN headquarters, which had previously, for inexplicable reasons, been a landmark of pride for the city.
It’s the same story in major cities all across the United States. The most heartbreaking stories were from the black owners of small businesses.
Shantae Holmes, a laundromat owner in Minneapolis, told the news website Business Insider that it would cost $50,000 for her to replace broken windows and smashed-up washing machines.
Janice Wilbourn, co-owner of an Atlanta-based clothing store, estimated $5,000 in damages to the business, which she said had already been greatly suffering from the pandemic.
Those business owners aren’t the exception. They’re the rule.
But don’t forget: The vast majority of these “protests” are “peaceful.” And don’t you dare say otherwise, you racist!
