Howard Stern is known for being a shock-jock and saying outlandish things, but his career jumped the shark long ago. Now, he’s like the grumpy old man yelling at children to get off his lawn. This transformation seemed to begin when Donald Trump was elected president. Stern’s been a consistent critic of Trump and his supporters. He’s consistently attacked Trump and his supporters, saying many dumb things in the process. On Tuesday, Stern’s stupidity struck again.
In his latest rant against Trump supporters, Stern bemoaned that some of them have complained about losing their freedoms. He challenged their intelligence levels and insinuated that their complaints weren’t valid because they had never lived under a dictator.
While grumbling about Trump supporters on his radio program, Stern whined that “they have never lived under a dictator. Their freedoms have never really been threatened.”
“And they have no idea what it would be like to live under a different type of system other than democracy,” he added.
Stern’s commentary was rich with irony given the number of times every left-wing liberal Democrat lamented losing our constitutional freedoms. It’s almost like he has never heard any of the incessant complaining by the Left for the last decade.
Has Stern not heard any of the protests since Trump was elected? Since Obama was elected? Heck, since the turn of the century? Bemoaning the loss of freedoms and an erosion of our constitutional liberties has been the epicenter of rabid Democrats since George W. Bush won the controversial 2000 presidential election. It only escalated since then, reaching an intolerable peak with the election of Trump. Surely Stern cannot be this daft.
“They don’t get it. They are morons. They think somehow that the world would be better under a guy like Trump, like he would take care of them better,” Stern said.
Well, that’s because everything was superior in this country when Trump was president. Regardless of one’s feelings about Trump, his personality, ethics, or politics, the United States was better before Biden became president. From border security to the economy to the socioeconomic progress of minorities, everything was better when Trump was in office.
Stern has always said outlandish things, but at least at some point he was kind of funny, albeit inappropriately raunchy. Now, Stern is just saying moronic stuff. He’s demonstrated he’s an agenda-driven hack trying to remain meaningful in the twilight of his career.
Stern’s completely unhinged, and no one should take anything he says about the country’s politics seriously. He’s always been a clown. Now, Stern, an agenda-driven, hypocritical moron, is just a radio host meant to appeal to a rabid left-wing base and amuse a mob.
