I don’t know why people pay any serious attention to Hillary Clinton.
Yes, Hillary Clinton is a former secretary of state, U.S. senator, and first lady. But in 2018, the sum of her record is best assessed by a mislabeled reset button, two failed presidential bids, zero self-responsibility, and disrespect for those who risk their lives for hers. Moreover, Clinton’s omnipresent penchant for cronyism evidences a view of politics as a means only to enrichment and of power as an end in and of itself.
Yet for some reason, Clinton retains the media’s attention as some kind of moral visionary. Consider the current border crisis.
Sensing an opportunity to attack her nemesis, President Trump, and simultaneously regain relevance, Clinton has been tweeting about the border issue. Yet, the nature of Clinton’s incandescent ego is that it cannot ever, even in moments of utter irrelevance, truly be restrained. Enter this telling Clinton tweet from Monday evening.
Wow. In just the few short hours since I tweeted, this community has donated nearly $150,000 to support these groups’ critical work. If you’re as heartbroken and infuriated about what’s happening as I am, help keep it going: https://t.co/gFtjV3KBfM https://t.co/4ZepbZOH8H

Clinton might be “infuriated” by the plight of the border children, but ultimately, it’s still about her. Why did she feel the need to appropriate credit in raising money? “In just the few short hours since I tweeted.” The only reason is the constant reason why Clinton puts herself first: because she truly believes she is the central cause in any issue.
Fortunately, other public servants take a different approach. Take the somber lament of other former first ladies, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama.
Sometimes truth transcends party. https://t.co/TeFM7NmNzU

The difference in the tweets is that the latter two care — and have always cared — more about outcomes than their own personal gain. And it is for that reason that I am far more interested in what they have to say versus Hillary Clinton.
