Despite ordering an indoor mask mandate that began at 5 a.m. on Saturday in Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser officiated a wedding with an indoor reception where she was spotted maskless around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, as exclusively reported by the Washington Examiner.

Bowser declined to explain why she violated her own order when encountered by this reporter at the swanky soiree hosted at the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan. Still, her office later insisted that any photo of a maskless Bowser indoors must have been taken “when she was eating or drinking.”
