WHO: The South Dakota Department of Transportation WHAT: Approved a $230,000 grant for a mile-long concrete bicycling and walking path between Nisland and the Butte County Fairgrounds.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Nisland only has 204 residents, and if they were paying for the path it would cost them each about $1,127. Moreover, the bike path will be fully used only during the week of the county fair.
