Presented with very little commentary:
Mistakes happen, and everyone is fallible. But NBC News’ official Twitter account did the network no favors this week when it bungled a note regarding Megyn Kelly’s recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It’s annoying enough that the far right has turned “fake news” into a catch-all battle cry to mean, “this is a news report I don’t like.” NBC News didn’t also have to gift them with a legitimate grievance.
A bit more care would do the network well going forward.
