THE DAILY OUTRAGE: It’s a recession, so let’s please save the Carrousel Factory Museum

WHO: National Park Service

WHAT: Spent $265,000 on a matching grant for the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum in North Tonawanda, N.Y.

WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Even as states close parks in order to fix budget deficits, the feds seem to think they have a blank check to spend away. That includes grants for private museums like this one, which attracts, on average, fewer than 60 visitors per workday. Taxpayers seem to be getting the runaround.

WHERE TO VENT: Department of the Interior inspector general at 800-424-5081.
