FCC should tread carefully in crackdown on digital discrimination — The Federal Communications Commission said Wednesday it won't appeal a court decision that struck down broadband Internet rules known as net neutrality and instead will draft a new set of regulations to ensure open access to the Web. The infrastructure bill that President Joe Biden signed in November 2021 included a provision requiring the Federal Communications Commission to prevent discrimination in access to broadband internet based on race, ethnicity, color, religion, or national origin.
