Sorry, but men cannot have periods

If you have children going off to college and they’re looking for a growing field, they should consider pursuing a degree in psychology. After millennials are through raising their children gender-fluid and in denial of biology, they’re going to need some serious therapy.

Consider one post that went viral on parenting Instagram accounts this week: Milly Bhaskara, an “influencer” on mental health, body acceptance, and general liberal ideology posted an image of her 4-year-old son holding a sign that reads, “Some men have periods too. If I can get it, so can you.” The Parents account, which has more than a half-million followers, reposted it, as did Yahoo Lifestyle’s page, which boasts 129,000 followers.

“Some men have periods. Some non-binary people have periods. Some women have periods. Eli has been told about periods since he saw blood on my pants a couple of years ago (I no longer have them now and tbh it is shit when it’s seen as like the ultimate feminine superpower because I’m still a woman so ??). I didn’t use the language of women have periods because it’s not entirely inclusive. I told him that SOME women, SOME non binary people and SOME men have periods. It was easy for him to accept as he hadn’t had to unlearn the engrained societal norm but if a 4 year old can grasp it I’m sure most of us can have a crack at unlearning transphobic/misinformed norms and open our minds… ya think? ? Trans men may have ‘female’ sex organs and still experience periods and some non binary people have periods too therefore removing a female logo off the front of sanitary products helps include us all ? isn’t that wholesome and a nice gesture? Why in the name of Lizzo should that affect ANY of us… it’s not insulting to women, it’s not discrediting women, it’s opening up the community to make it a safe space for those who don’t identify as women but still have periods. Stop being a asshat. Grasp it.” ?? It’s not enough to dominate women’s sports, which biological males who identify as transgender women have been doing of late, but now men are making a claim over one of the most difficult and heroic parts of being a woman.

Recently, on National Period Day (yes, that’s really a thing), this message was repeatedly driven by left-wing activists. Additionally, the official Planned Parenthood website says that “transgender men and genderqueer people” can get periods, too.

The day was initially created to raise awareness of the difficulty and expense of periods for women, but liberal activists have hijacked it. Inexplicably, these trans activists now want to make menstruation a universal affliction, not exclusive to women. There is probably not a woman alive who wouldn’t want to let men experience the discomfort of a monthly period, but alas, that’s simply not how biology works.

Men can’t experience menstruation, no matter how often we are told otherwise. These anti-science claims about menstruation are just another talking point in the Left’s appropriation of everything female. Just this week, a doula (birth coach) was hounded out of her industry in the United Kingdom for daring to state that only women have babies. Because biology is transphobic, or something.

Despite the unrelenting push “forward” toward a new gender-fluid future, it’s heartening to see how much pushback these science deniers are facing from ordinary Americans.

While transgender talking points may dominate socially liberal newsrooms at Yahoo News or in the circles of those running the Parents Instagram account, they aren’t in touch with an overwhelmingly large segment of the American population. Far-left liberals have no idea how thick their bubble is until it’s popped, as it was this week on Instagram in the viral Parents post.

A normal post on the Parents Instagram page usually gets a few hundred comments at most, sometimes even less than a hundred. But on the post with a 4-year-old spouting gender nonsense, there are thousands of comments — and almost all of the top-voted comments are negative.

The top comment, with over 2,000 likes (almost as many as the post itself) states:

Omg … LEAVE KIDS OUT OF IT!!! LET THEM BE KIDS….. they don’t even teach about menstrual cycles to the 5th grade. This is a sad and pathetic attempt on the mother’s part to exploit her child and get a pat on the back. This kid is way too young to grasp the reality of what’s being talked about here. Let him be a kid. This is disgusting to exploit this child. It’s a mom wants to hold up a sign and post it on social media, then so be it.

It may feel good and inclusive for liberals to claim all genders are equal in all things, but thankfully women aren’t going to be erased quietly. Mothers won’t let their children be indoctrinated without a fight. It may “only” be social media, but this growing divide provides a window into the culture war of this generation, and it’s only just begun.
