War, abortion, and Wall Street: Three crucial questions Biden has yet to be asked

Joe Biden has hidden in his basement and avoided questions from reporters on the theory that Donald Trump being Donald Trump helps Biden more than anything Biden could do. Biden’s theory is probably correct, but reporters shouldn’t let him get away with it.

Biden faced some questions in Tuesday night’s debate, but often he was unable to answer them thanks to Trump’s incessant logorrhea. Also, Biden wasn’t pressed on some crucial questions.

Here are three questions the next debate moderator, or a reporter who gets the chance, should ask Biden because the American public deserves his answer.

1) Libya: The Obama-Biden administration in 2011 launched a U.S. war against Libya and deposed Moammar Gadhafi. The administration never got congressional authorization for the war, and the regime change left a vacuum that empowered terrorist groups. Was that war a legal, moral, or strategic error? Did you learn anything from it?

2) Religious Liberty: The American Civil Liberties Union has been suing Catholic hospitals in an effort to force them to perform abortions. Do you support this lawsuit? Do you believe Catholic hospitals, on the grounds of their accepting Medicaid money, should be required to perform abortions?

3) Wall Street: You voted for the Wall Street bailout in 2008, and the Obama-Biden administration implemented it. This bailout didn’t stop a collapse of the financial sector — it was crafted to preserve the biggest banks, such as Citigroup and Wells Fargo. The bailout and the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill seem to have resulted in consolidation in the financial sector, with the big banks getting bigger and competition drying up. You are massively outraising President Trump from the financial sector. Why are you so cozy with Big Finance?
