Black Lives Matter just spent $100K to bail out a black activist who tried to murder a white mayoral candidate

Many resented accusations that Black Lives Matter was a domestic terrorist group during recent years. Such claims were labeled racist and condemned by politicians, pundits, celebrities, athletes, and media personalities. Yet, in addition to the crime, murder, and destruction caused by the 2020 BLM riots, here we are in 2022 when a well-known black BLM protester and gun control activist tried to murder a white mayoral candidate.

One would think BLM would disavow or condemn such an action. Instead, BLM-Louisville just bailed him out of jail.

Yes. BLM just spent $100,000 on bail to have a black man accused of trying to murder a white mayoral candidate released from jail.

In July 2019, Quintez Brown wrote an article in the Courier-Journal titled, “Kentucky’s concealed carry law shows your life doesn’t matter to gun-loving Republicans.” On Monday, Brown allegedly tried to shoot and kill a white mayoral candidate. Brown allegedly targeted Craig Greenberg at close range at his campaign office. The Courier-Journal reported a bullet “tore through Greenberg’s clothing.” Fortunately, Greenberg wasn’t killed. The gun control activist Brown was charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment.

There is a lot to unpack from this incident. First, is the sheer and disgusting (yet not surprising) hypocrisy that a gun control activist allegedly had a gun and tried to use it to kill someone. Gun control activists frequently target legal gun owners who would not hurt anyone, and in many cases, they are the ones who violate gun laws themselves.

Second, are the racial and ethnic factors in the attempted murder: Brown is a black male, Greenberg is a white Jewish male. Is this a hate crime? Is this antisemitism? Some of Brown’s previous writings show animosity toward white people with political power.

Third, BLM-Louisville, a self-described “Black Lives Matter chapter,” is providing $100,000 in bail money to get this alleged attempted murderer released from jail. I do not have access to how this chapter obtained these funds. However, if this money was obtained from charitable contributions, I would find it hard to believe those who donated wanted their money to be used to bail out attempted murderers.

If anyone needed any other evidence to illustrate the toxicity of BLM and of gun control activists generally, the incident involving Quintez Brown should be it. It is all the result of radical, venomous ideologies that make up a segment of contemporary left-wing political ideology. While BLM-Louisville has the autonomy to do whatever it wants with its funds (I assume), under no circumstances is it ethical or moral to use donor money to bail out an alleged attempted murderer.

Such are the actions of domestic terrorist groups Weather Underground and Symbionese Liberation Army, not groups claiming to end alleged racial injustice. These actions reveal the true colors of BLM. It is a societal ill and should be eradicated, not celebrated.
