It may not be as entertaining as a Saturday afternoon watching a football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Michigan State Spartans, but the competition between Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, will likely be far more important to the nation as a whole.

As leaders of their respective states, they have adopted diametrically opposed approaches to dealing with the coronavirus crisis — and as students of public policy, we can learn from them.
