Benjamin Netanyahu nukes Jeremy Corbyn

You could scarcely find two more different politicians than Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. One is a former special forces soldier, and the other is a lifelong anti-war activist. But now, via Twitter at least, the two are doing battle.

Netanyahu condemned Corbyn for attending a 2014 ceremony that celebrated those responsible for the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre. That atrocity took 11 Israeli and 1 West German lives, but Palestinian extremists view the killers as heroes. While Corbyn lies that the ceremony was not for terrorists, he has well-established links to Palestinian terrorist organizations.

Regardless, it is good to see Netanyahu taking on Corbyn so directly here. Not simply because the Labour leader is an enemy of Israel and an anti-Semite, but because Corbyn cannot help but unveil his sympathies when challenged. Just look at Corbyn’s response to Netanyahu. Rather than issue a statement distancing himself from the butchers of Munich, Corbyn decided to attack Israel in a different way! Fortunately, as in his tweet above, condemning Israel without condemning Hamas for leading and weaponizing those protests (or for firing hundreds of rockets into Israel over the past few weeks), Corbyn shows his true colors. Namely, his hatred for Israel and his deep affection for the terrorists who seek a second Holocaust.

Again, while Corbyn’s views aren’t surprising (he has explicitly said Hamas are his “friends”), we need to see them publicly. After all, although Corbyn also despises the United States, his disgust for Israel is all-encompassing. And as Corbyn and his team continue to advance their foul agenda, challenges like that from Netanyahu will become ever more important.

Absent those challenges, Corbyn might just become Britain’s next Prime Minister.
