The only real good news out of open Senate races in California is that some terrible Democrat always ends up out of office while chasing the job. This time, that terrible Democrat is Rep. Katie Porter.

Along with communist sympathizer Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Porter is now headed out of office in November after falling short of the top two spots in California’s jungle primary. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) will most likely go on to win the seat over Republican Steve Garvey, which is terrible news for the country, but that at least means Porter will not be in the Senate or House in the near future.
