A vote for Biden is a vote for human trafficking

Moral people have an obligation to vote with the historic party of freedom against the historic party of slavery once again.

It is no secret that President Joe Biden has exacerbated the United States’s border crisis. What tends to be overlooked, unfortunately, is how he and his administration have been complicit in a massive human trafficking operation as a result.

To promote himself as a man who reunites families, the incumbent president personally rolled back most of his predecessor former President Donald Trump’s border restrictions with executive orders. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said, “We are not expelling unaccompanied children.”

These policy decisions incentivized unprecedented numbers of immigrants to flood into the country. This included hundreds of thousands of minors traveling through harsh conditions on their own in search of higher wages. They usually get paired up with sponsors already in America to provide for them.

Tragically, many of these children were never seen again, at least on record. The Department of Health and Human Services handed over 150,000 children to sponsors in fiscal 2022.

That same year saw arrests for human trafficking in America rise by 50% and convictions by 80%. Seventy-two percent of the victims were mostly illegal immigrants. Estimates are that 60% of minor illegal immigrants got kidnapped and trafficked by cartels and other criminals.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement of the HHS does a pathetic job vetting these sponsors. In 2021, it handed thousands of children over to those sponsors despite faulty documentation. They even failed to perform follow-up calls in the preceding months of release. The result was that the government has lost track of well over 85,000 unaccompanied minors, which is over a third of them.

Many illegal minors are forced into long hours at exhausting jobs. Two-thirds work full-time jobs. Yet, most turn a blind eye to this glaring violation of child labor laws, from companies to schools to the HHS itself. Only about 30 cases involving forced labor of unaccompanied minors have been brought forward in the past decade.

Either we can turn a blind eye to this, too, or we can expose it for what it really is: modern-day slavery. Human trafficking is wrong. Slavery is wrong. Those who fuel it must be stopped.

Do not vote for Biden because you will be voting to spread slavery across America once again. His party historically supported slavery, and it is simply reviving its most cherished institution.
