Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s commencement address at Benedictine College got tons of press. I have had minimal comment on the event, in part because I have a personal connection: I gave the convocation address at the beginning of this same school year, which he just bookended. (And the college paid me for the speech.)
While my remarks obviously garnered about zero attention, especially compared to his, they did touch on similar themes.
