Actor and director George Clooney is calling for President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race, in the process admitting that he knew Biden was unable to do the job and was supporting him anyway until the public saw what he saw.

In an opinion piece titled, “I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,” Clooney admits that “the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser … was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.” Clooney, well-connected in the Democratic Party as a donor and activist who even managed to have Biden’s ear on the topic of Israel and Gaza, says that “every senator and congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private” thinks Biden will lose. “Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly,” Clooney said.
