The casual political observer in Indiana would be confused. Sen. Joe Donnelly sounds like a Republican in his latest campaign spot.
For the record, Donnelly is a Democrat. And he competes with Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia for the title of “most moderate,” though he rarely gets much of the same credit. Running for reelection in a deep-red state that Trump won by double digits has pushed him even further to the right. Watch his latest ad:
