You don’t need to spend much time running through the possible challengers to Vice President Kamala Harris in the new Democratic presidential primary scramble. Democrats stuck themselves with Harris and her mediocrity by embracing a toxic racial ideology that will destroy the party if they pass over her.

Democrats have no real choice but to line up behind Harris because Harris was selected solely because she fit affirmative action standards that President Joe Biden used to pick a running mate and later his Cabinet. The only requirement Biden announced he had for selecting his running mate was that he would choose a woman, and he allowed himself to get pressured by his supporters into choosing a black woman. He did not prioritize accomplishments, qualifications, or even political utility. He instead prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion.
